St. Boniface Church
Original Stone Water Tower
A true Gothic Structure built between 1883 - 1887, features the famous SCHUELKE Tracker Organ made in 1891. The interior is adorned by beautiful hand carved altars by Edward Hackner. New Vienna was settle in 1843 by five German Catholic families and was named in honor of Emperor Francis I of Austria for his gifts and support of the American Catholic Missions. Placed on the National Register of Historical places in 2000. Since 1940, the St. Boniface Labor Day Picnic has been an annual event serving our world famous chicken and ham dinner with games, music, refreshments and fun for all.
