St. Boniface Church

Original Stone Water Tower

 A true Gothic Structure built between 1883 - 1887, features the famous SCHUELKE Tracker​ Organ made in 1891.  The interior is adorned by beautiful hand carved altars by Edward Hackner.  New Vienna was settle in 1843 by five German Catholic families and was named in honor of Emperor Francis I of Austria for his gifts and support of the American Catholic Missions.  Placed on the National Register of Historical places in 2000.  Since 1940, the St. Boniface Labor Day Picnic has been an annual event serving our world famous chicken and ham dinner with games, music, refreshments and fun for all.

Park Opens at 7AM and closes at 10:30PM

Daily camp fee is $10.  Electric hookup is $15.

14 day limit.  All campers MUST self register.

-New Wine Park is located 1 mile south - has camping facilities with electrical hook-ups, a picnic area with shelters and a total of 182 acres of hiking or cross-country skiing.  Fishing in the Maquoketa River is another feature of New Win Park.
